For health optimizers

You have the data. Here’s the plan.

The ring, the strap, the macro tracker, the blood panel. Every one of them lives in its own app, and “what should I do today?” still takes four app opens and some mental math. Protocol reads all of it together and makes the call.

How do you combine Oura, WHOOP, Apple Health and lab results into one plan?

Put them in one place, compare each metric to your own baseline rather than each device’s scale, and decide on one priority for the day instead of reacting to every score. Protocol is a health app for iPhone and web that reads Oura, WHOOP and Apple Health together with the meals you log and the lab results you upload. It scores every metric against your own baseline and goal, writes a morning brief with the one thing that matters today, and gives you an AI coach that already has a year of your data, so you never brief it or paste screenshots. Keep every device you have; Protocol makes them talk.

The problem

Sound familiar?

You’re not short on numbers. You’re short on what they add up to.

  • “Oura says I’m ready. WHOOP says I’m not.”

Each device scores you on its own terms, and nothing tells you which one to believe this morning.

  • “My labs came back. Now what?”

A PDF of 100 markers, a few flags, and nothing tying them to the months of sleep, training and food that produced them.

  • “I paste screenshots into a chatbot.”

It starts from zero every time, works from population averages and forgets what you told it last week.

  • “I stopped logging food in week three.”

Nutrition is the one input your wearable can’t see, and the one that’s most tedious to track.

Everything you track.Read together.

Four things you get on day one that no single device gives you.

Your whole stack

Every device.
One read.

Connect Apple Health, Oura and WHOOP once. Protocol pulls in a year of history so your baselines exist on day one, and reads sleep, readiness, recovery, HRV, strain, workouts and food side by side.

  • Keep every app you love. Nothing to replace, nothing to export.
  • Ring and strap both logged your run? It shows up once.
  • Garmin, CGMs and smart scales come in through Apple Health on iPhone.
  • Every metric is scored against your own goal: hit, almost or miss.

The morning read

One call,
before coffee.

By the time you wake up, last night’s sleep and yesterday’s training are already read. You get one headline for the day, the reason behind it, and a couple of specific moves built from your own numbers.

  • Waiting as a notification, on your widget and in your inbox.
  • It works around the plan you already have, easing the load on a rough night instead of scrapping the session.
  • Swipe for the why: the numbers behind the call, today’s moves, your fuel and your wins.
  • The headline and top move are free every day; the full brief is Pro.

Bloodwork
next to your habits.

Upload a panel from Function Health, Superpower, InsideTracker, Quest or your doctor. Every marker gets its history across draws, a plain-language explanation and the daily habit most likely to move it.

  • A PDF or up to six screenshots, on the web or your iPhone. Your first draw is free.
  • For each marker with two draws, your average sleep, steps, zone 2, workouts and protein in the 90 days before each one.
  • Out-of-range markers become daily goals you can track.
  • Your lab’s own ranges, including optimal bands when your report has them.

A coach that knows you

Ask anything.
Start from your data.

Why did my HRV dip? Should I train hard today? What should I eat after this session? Every answer starts from your baselines, not population averages, with charts from your own history.

  • Twelve months of your trends in view, with any 90-day stretch available day by day.
  • Tell it you’ll try something this week, and it checks back to see how it went.
  • It logs meals, workouts and weigh-ins when you tell it.
  • Part of Protocol Pro.

Good to know

What it does, and what it doesn’t.

iPhone and web, no Android yet

Protocol runs on iPhone and in any browser. Apple Health syncing needs the iPhone app. There’s no Android app yet.

Garmin through Apple Health

Garmin doesn’t accept new API partners right now, so Garmin data reaches Protocol only through Apple Health on iPhone, with the metrics Garmin shares there.

Labs by upload

There are no direct lab connections yet. Function Health, Quest, Labcorp and the rest work through their PDFs or screenshots.

Wellness, not medicine

Protocol explains your data and suggests habits. It doesn’t diagnose anything, and it tells you when a result belongs with your doctor.

The evidence

Personal beats generic. Daily beats yearly.

Why reading your own data every day matters more than collecting more of it. It supports the approach; it is not evidence of Protocol’s own outcomes.

  • 78%

lower risk of major chronic disease with four habits (observational)

Four everyday habits, far less chronic disease.

Among 23,153 adults in a German cohort, those who never smoked, kept a BMI under 30, were active at least 3.5 hours a week and ate a healthy diet had a 78% lower risk of developing a major chronic disease than those with none of the four. An association in an observational study, not a trial.

  • 116

tests: being asked what you plan nudges you to do it

Being asked what you plan to do makes you more likely to do it.

A meta-analysis of 116 tests found that asking people about their intentions, or to predict their own behavior, had a small positive effect on what they did next.

Also in the research

  • Advice tailored to you beats advice for everyone.

Across 57 studies and more than 58,000 people, health messages tailored to the individual changed behavior more than generic ones. The effect was small, and the studies were of printed materials.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Can I use Oura and WHOOP together in one app?

Yes. Protocol connects to Oura and WHOOP directly and to Apple Health on iPhone, and reads them side by side: sleep, readiness, recovery, HRV, strain and workouts. A workout recorded by two devices is counted once, and every metric is scored against your own goal rather than each device’s scale.

What do I do with my Function Health or blood test results?

Upload the PDF or screenshots to Protocol. Every marker gets a plain-language explanation and a history across draws, out-of-range markers become daily habit goals, and for each marker with two draws Protocol shows your average sleep, steps, zone 2, workouts and protein in the 90 days before each one. It never diagnoses; it tells you when a result belongs with your doctor.

How is this different from asking ChatGPT about my data?

A general chatbot only knows what you paste in, and starts over each time. Protocol’s coach already has your wearable data, meals, workouts, weigh-ins, labs and goals, a year at a glance and any 90 days in detail. It remembers what you said you would do and follows up, and it writes a brief every morning without being asked.

Do I have to stop using my other apps?

No. Protocol is built to sit on top of the apps you already use. Your devices keep doing what they do well; Protocol reads them together and turns them into one plan for the day.

Does Protocol work with Garmin or Android?

Garmin data reaches Protocol through Apple Health on iPhone, with the metrics Garmin shares there; a direct Garmin connection waits on Garmin reopening its partner program. There is no Android app yet. Protocol also works in any web browser.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Protocol never sells your data and never trains AI models on it. You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect a source or delete your account at any time. The privacy policy covers the details.

Is Protocol free?

Yes, you can start free. Syncing, your scores, goals, streaks, Trends and a daily morning read are free, with 5 AI meal logs a day and unlimited barcode scans and saved foods. Protocol Pro adds the AI coach, unlimited AI meal logging and the full brief every day. Pro is $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
