Create an intention

Decide once, follow through. An intention says exactly when you'll act, so the moment you usually slip already has a plan.

About 1 minute iPhone

Two kinds

If-then

For the moment you usually slip. “When I reach for a snack after 8pm, I will drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes.” Always on.

Scheduled

For a habit with a time. “I will do my strength workout” on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am.

Step by step

Create an intention

  1. 1

Plan for the moment you slip

Open Intentions, from your tab bar or More, or tap Set an intention on Today. Tap + and choose If-then.

Under When…, describe the moment, like “I reach for a snack after 8pm.” Under I will…, say what you'll do instead. Tap Save intention.

  2. 2

Or put it on the calendar

Choose Scheduled. Fill in I will…, tap the days under On, set the time under At, and tap Save intention.

Not sure where to start? Tap one of the Examples and edit it.

  3. 3

    Check it off on Today

Your plans sit in Today's intentions on Today, so they're in front of you when it counts. Tap the circle when you've done it.
